Curriculum
Vincenzo Tucci (orcid.org/0000-0002-3952-5256) e' nato nel 1956 a Cava de' Tirreni. Si è laureato con lode nel 1981 in Ingegneria Elettronica presso l'Universita' di Napoli "Federico II". Dal 2000 è professore ordinario di Elettrotecnica (SSD ING/IND-31) presso l'Universita' degli Studi di Salerno dove e' responsabile del Lab. di Caratterizzazione Elettromagnetica dei Materiali.
L'attivita' scientifica riguarda i seguenti temi principali: caratterizzazione e trattamento elettromagnetico di materiali, modellistica elettrica di compositi e nano compositi polimerici, tecniche di progettazione ed ottimizzazione delle prestazioni di componenti per l'ingegneria elettrica ed elettronica. E' stato coordinatore nazionale del progetto di ricerca di interesse nazionale PRIN 2008- DENSE e responsabile di progetti UE (FP7-ICT-2007-1 - Carbon nanotube technology for high-speed next-generation nano-interconnects; FP7-AAT- 2012-RTD-1 - Improving the Aircraft Safety by Self-healing structure and protecting nanofillers).
L'attivita' di ricerca ha dato luogo ad oltre 170 pubblicazioni scientifiche pubblicate su riviste e in atti di conferenze internazionali. Il prof. Tucci e' membro del Collegio dei docenti del dottorato di ricerca in Informatica e Ingegneria dell'Informazione e componente del Comitato scientifico del Dottorato di Ricerca Internazionale in ''Nanoscience and Nanotechnology'' organizzato in collaborazione con la Jacobs University of Bremen (Germania).
Il prof. Vincenzo Tucci svolge attivita' di revisore per riviste internazionali, Session Chairman a Conferenze Internazionali.
Da febbraio 2011 a gennaio 2013 è stato Presidente dell'Area Didattica in Ingegneria dell'Informazione dell'Universita' di Salerno.
Da aprile 2004 e' Direttore del Centro per la Qualita' di Ateneo. E' esperto di sistema ANVUR e fa parte della Cabina di Regia dell'Agenzia QUACING per l'accreditamento EUR-ACE dei CdS in Ingegneria.
Vincenzo Tucci (orcid.org/0000-0002-3952-5256) is full professor of Electrical Engineering at the Dept. of Electronic and Computer Engineering of the University of Salerno since 2000. His main research fields concern the electromagnetic (EM) characterization of innovative materials, the analytical and numerical methods for the design and optimization of EM systems and the simulation of electronic circuits. He is now engaged in research concerning the use of Carbon NanoTubes in new electronic devices and nanocomposites for advanced structures. He is responsible of the Salerno Unit of the Research project funded by the European Union in the framework of FP7-ICT-2007-1 - Carbon nanotube technology for high-speed next-generation nano-interconnects and FP7-AAT- 2012-RTD-1 IASS “Improving the Aircraft Safety by Self-healing structure and protecting nanofillers". He has been the principal investigator of the research project DENSE funded by the Italian Ministry for Research (MIUR). Prof. Tucci is author/coauthor of more than 150 scientific papers. He is engaged in the PhD course program in Informatics and Information Eng. at the University of Salerno and in the International Ph D program in Nanonscience and Nanotechnology funded by University of Salerno in cooperation with the Jacobs University of Bremen (Germany). He also serves as a member of national and international boards for the evaluation of PhD theses. He serves as a rewiever for different scientific journals and is member of the Technical Committees of several International Conferences and Workshops.
Prof. Tucci is the representative for European Aeronautics Science Network among european academic insitutions in the Working Group WG4 "Ensuring safety and security" of the Advisory Council for Aeronautics Research in Europe - ACARE. He is member of IEEE (TC11 Nano-technology), AEIT and WG 36B of CEI.
From Feb. 2011 to Jan. 2013 he has been the coordinator of the Course Programs (first and second level) in Electronic Engineering and Computer Engineering at the University of Salerno. He is director of the Center for Quality Assurance at the University of Salerno and member of the Steering Committee of the Italian Agency responsible for the Accreditation of Engineering Programmes according to the european standard EUR-ACE.
